Enabling families to shape a generation of strong, healthy children
We’re building a system that builds resilience in mothers by providing consistent, high-quality nutrition and care information during the first 1,000 days of a child.

THE CHALLENGE
There are over
14 lakh severely malnourished
children in India
Malnutrition is complex. It is deeply connected with a variety of socio-economic and cultural aspects of a community. Undernourished children are more likely to face learning difficulties, illness, and reduced economic opportunities as adults, impacting not just individuals, but entire communities and economies.
In cities, we work closely with mothers to co-create and test community-based solutions. Insights from these interventions inform our systems transformation work with government partners to strengthen the Anganwadi system.

OUR WORK WITH COMMUNITIES
We work with the most densely populated urban communities
We train women from the community to become para-nutritionists — trusted guides who use
local knowledge and our NuTree App to support around 300 families each
with timely, personalised care.
1.4 million Anganwadi workers are already on the frontlines of tackling malnutrition, we help them do their job better
Through focused training, easy-to-use tech tools like chatbots and NuTree Lite, and smart data systems, we help them direct their efforts where it matters most. By
engaging with Supervisors, equipping workers with customised resources and clear monitoring tools,
we strengthen the public system and enable deeper, scalable impact.
We experiment to identify new ways to ensure our impact is sustainable.
We see technology as a powerful tool to help us scale quickly without compromising impact
Over the years we have rolled out a series of proprietary tools like NuTree App for FMCH frontline team, NuTree Lite App for Anganwadi teachers and an AI chatbot for mothers customized to their needs and behaviours of accessing information.
Through my work I have been able to support and guide so many pregnant women and new mothers, what makes me really proud is watching young mothers take charge of their infant’s health. It also makes me really happy to see fathers get more involved with ensuring their wives have the right support and nutrition.
