Our Anganwadi Accelerator Program focuses on building capacity of the Anganwadi system
We are working with more than 5000 Anganwadis to improve the quality of counselling provided to mothers in the first 1000 days.
The Pillars of our Program
TRAINING
We train Anganwadi Workers in anthropometry, counselling, and data use. CDPOs get dashboard insights to drive action. Families receive home visits, nudges, and reminders.
TOOLS
We provide digital tools like NuTree Lite to support real-time, stage-specific counselling. Frontline workers also receive printed IEC kits and structured visit checklists.
TRACKING
Data from the NuTree lite are analyzed to monitor performance, flag issues, and support timely decisions. Supervisors and field staff are supported via continuous check ins by the program associates.
TRUST
We build local ownership through transparency and regular communication with Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).
THOUGHT PARTNERSHIP
Continuous feedback loops with frontline staff and officials inform system improvements and innovation.

Context on the Anganwadi system
India’s Anganwadi workers are frontline health workers who deliver essential maternal and child health services to rural and urban communities through the government’s Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). However, they face heavy workloads, limited resources, and training gaps that affect their ability to provide quality care to young mothers and children.
